Holiday dresses should always be festive. When I say festive I don't mean they need lit up Christmas trees; I mean dark colors like black, navy, or burgundy. But I admit, an all white dress is always appropriate for Holiday parties, New Years, and even any party all year round. I would stay away from too much sequence and glitter until New Years.
