Miami, FL (November 8, 2013) – Curated by two sisters with style in their DNA, the recently opened Monc Boutique in South Miami successfully fills a market niche for affordable designer fashion and accessories.  The purveyors of style set out to command the local shopping scene by offering trend-conscious looks by independent labels, all priced under $100.

Located at 7222 Red Road, the intimate, jewel box boutique resembles a fabulous and well-edited closet stocked with looks from the pages of leading fashion magazines.  Hand-picked pieces from up-and-coming designers mingle alongside contemporary fashion favorites for a wide variety of quality, on-trend clothing and accessories to choose from.

Looks from popular LA-based labels Ark & Co., Blu Pepper, Sweet Rain, Rehab, Hot & Delicious, Nameless, Esley and Sugarlips pair well with exclusives from local jewelry designers ZG Accesorios and Attia.  Playing tribute to the boutique’s Miami roots is an assortment of flirty swimwear from B. Swim and Red Velvet.

The inspiration behind Monc boutique sprung from Maya El-Naffy and her sister Nayla El-Naffy’s travels throughout South America and Europe. Combined, the sisters’ international pedigrees span Lebanon, London, Spain, Chile and their current hometown of Miami.  Maya El-Naffy earned a master’s degree in international business from Florida International University and a master’s of business administration from ESIC in Madrid Spain.   She worked for Estée Lauder Companies managing public relations and sales for the Central American region.  Nayla El-Naffy earned a bachelor’s degree in fashion management from Lynn University and a master’s degree in fashion merchandising from Istituto Marangoni in London before joining Perry Ellis as an Associate Merchandiser.

“We set out to create a specialty, neighborhood boutique where locals could always find something new and afford to buy those trendy, designer pieces without killing their budget,” explains Maya El-Naffy.  “Prior to the launch of Monc, there was nowhere in Miami to shop for fashion under $100 without sacrificing quality and workmanship.  We identified a need in the marketplace for guilt-free splurging on designer apparel and accessories and started curating our racks accordingly.”
