Glam Ready Make Up

Lately a lot of girls have been complimenting my make up. Some girls have even been asking what apps I use to filter my photos. And whats great is that I don't use any apps and I actually hate filters. In my opinion, filtering takes away your natural beauty. Make up works just as well as any app or filter.

So I am going to share with you my little secret. I learned how to highlight and contour my face so my make up looks professional, clean, and in high definition. Its so easy, you can do it too! Below is a video from Jaclyn Hill, the make up goddess. She literally will show you how magical make up can be.

I personally do not put on as much make up, because this humidity down here can make your face look heavy and "cakey". I would also stick with using more cream like products and finishing with a light base of powder to keep your face looking smooth and natural.

What you need:
  1. Brushes!!! - You need brushes. You need a brush for everything. It is sort of disgusting to use the same brush for different things. You can't use a brush to blemish, then put bronzer on it, then put blush on it, and wipe that all over your face. You're mixing shades around your face and you will look dirty.
  2. Highlighters - Elf has a really good highlighter for $3 at Target. Or you can use an even better one from MAC, which I would expect to be $10-30.
  3. Concealer - concealer and foundation are two totally different items.
  4. Bronzer - this is not blush. The less shimmer, the better.
  5. Blush - multiple shades. You can't always rock pinkish blush. What if you're wearing red lipstick? You will look like a clown.

Peter Thomas Roth, Two

I told you guys about my favorite bath products a few weeks ago from Peter Thomas Roth; well I found my absolute, favorite product. So, we all pop pimples or zits all the time. Whether we want to admit it or not, we all do it. And we all know you're not suppose to. And sometimes we end up terminating them way before we are suppose to and we get an ugly scab on your face. Almost worse than the stupid zit. Well, I just found the world's secret to eliminating those ugly scabs in 3 days. I sound like a commercial, I should start getting paid for this.

But in all seriousness, I went to Ulta to restock up on my favorite bath products and the sales associate helping me gave me a sample of Peter Thomas Roth's Firm Peeling Gel. And I am sold. I am going to buy a full bottle as soon as possible.

What this gel does is eliminate all dead skin from your face. Which is an amazing product that you should use regularly if you have dry skin (face only). But for girls with a more oil base skin, I would use this when you have a sunburn, or when you make the mistake of trying to terminate a zit that isn't ready - scabs.

You rub this gel on your face when its dry. Continue rubbing the area or areas you need dead skin removed.  You immediately see skin being removed. Once you're done exfoliating your face, go rinse with warm water, then pat your face dry with a clean towel.

Average prices for this product are about $50. But if you're scared to buy a product so expensive before trying it out, ask any local beauty store if they have any samples. I promise you, you'll be sold once you try it. I'm bringing it with me on my cruise, so despite any sunburning, my face will look fresh and hydrated no matter how dry it naturally is.

Peter Thomas Roth

I am always looking for new products [that work] to help breakouts and keeping my skin clear and healthy. My good friend, who is also a DIY Beauty and Lifestyle Blogger, Doce Douze, recommended that I try out the Peter Thomas Roth products. And there is absolutely nothing bad I could say about these products. I immediately saw my skin clearing up and maintaining that smooth look.

First I started off just using the body wash but I immediately saw how it cleared out my skin and it moisturized my skin. From just using that one product I immediately stopped by Ulta to purchase a few more products. I decided to buy the bath set that I displayed above. The hair products are amazing but I cannot get over how much these products have done for my skin. I am addicted to putting on lotion daily, sometimes three times a day, but now that I started using these products, I only moisturize sometimes in the mornings. The body wash takes care of it.

My next favorite product from this line is the De-Spot Skin Brightening Corrector. What is does is help reverse the appearance of any dark spots and discolorations. It gives your skin an even skin tone and helps your skin prevent from aging dramatically.

The next product I want to tell you about is the Massaging Bar. You would never believe the miracles this thing does until you try it. And using it feels amazing! You use it as a bar soap and massage your skin in a circular motion. The bumps on the massage bar help stimulate your skin while you cleanse. I also use this product on my face after using the Peter Thomas Roth Facial Products. I am not kidding, I've became a Peter Thomas Roth addict!!

I definitely encourage you to try these products if you have any spots you want to remove, if your skin breaks out easily, or even if you have dry like skin. These products can be a bit pricey but they are worth every penny!! And honestly, you can find these products everywhere.

Here is a list of places you can find these products!
