January Eighteenth Twenty Fifteen

I would like to introduce the new focus of Style by Chels:

I have decided to go in a new direction for this blog. I decided that I was no longer going to focus on just expressing my personal style and tips, but I am going to make this blog a journal expressing some of my everyday circumstances. Meaning, I will post facial remedies I experiment with, fashion advice or inspiration, make up tips, and fitness. Fitness will include some of my favorite everyday workouts, nutrition tips I have experienced along my path of paleo dieting, gym look inspiration, my favorite gym clothing brands and why, and fun apps and websites I use to track all my workouts.

Today's post will simply be a fashion inspirational look. Today, I am wearing a look I wore throughout the week at the office. This look is simple, comfortable, and professional for a business casual attire. I have had my eye on these booties for about a year. I first spotted Walk in Wonderland post them for some spring looks. When I saw them in Miami's number one outlet mall, I was overly excited. They were 75% off!

Summer Break is Over

This year my work schedule changed due to doing the majority of our business in the West Coast. But I love working afternoons twice a week. Since this is my last week before school starts, I took advantage of my last morning off this summer and spent it with my sister eating breakfast and running the last few errands we need to start off the school year.

Today, I am wearing this cute dress I found on sale at Anthropologie. I wore a white tank top under to make sure that the dress would be appropriate for work and paired the dress with my black tuxedo flats. To accessorize the dress I kept my jewelry to a minimum and brightened the look with my lip shade.

Happy Thursday!

XOXO,

Outfit of the Day: June Third

In my previous post I mentioned how a white button down is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. It is literally my go-to top for any occasion. Even with all my laundry being done and hung up in my closet, I still gravitate to this blouse. Today, I threw it on with black denim and dressed it up with my heeled sandals from Zara. This outfit is perfect for the office, dinner, or happy hour. Or all three.

White, Navy, and Brown

I really love the white, navy, and brown combination. Today I wore all white with a navy blue blazer and a pop of pink from the necklace. My Longchamp Le Pliage tote bag is my favorite bag in my closet. It practically weighs nothing, it goes great with any casual outfit, and its the perfect bag to use during the week. I want to buy a red one soon. They are seriously my favorite travel bags.

Pant Thief

My best friend is moving and gave me permission to take her white shelves. So when I stopped by her old apartment, I stole these pants during my visit. I remember when she went to NYC and bought them at H&M, two years ago. They still had the tag on them so I knew she wouldn't miss them very much. Anyways, the funny thing is.. she's finding out now.

Thanks Jewels!

Feeling Blue

Lately I have been going crazy on Ebay shopping for necklaces. I found this necklace for $2! On Hautelook, this necklace is $18. Score! I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I'm willing to share with you! On Ebay search for "Fashion Resin Necklace" or earrings. The best way to get that low price is to refine your search to Free Shipping and only Auctions. When you place a bid aim for the items that are ending in a few hours. If the auction ends in a few days your most likely going to get outbid or end up paying more than you should.
You can thank me later by sharing your pieces with me.

White & Black

A busy city comes with a busy life style. And it isn't always easy to fit in things you want to do rather than have to do. I constantly tell myself to take advantage of the city I live in so today I went to lunch at Calamari in Coconut Grove.

As I've mentioned in the last few posts, I've tried to arrange outfits that can fit in our everyday lives. I love wearing all white. In my opinion, every closet should have these staple pieces: white denim, a loose white blouse, black pointed heels, and a blazer (the more colors, the better.) And since black and white is such a basic color arrangement, I threw in a pop of color with my lipstick: Ruby Woo by Mac.

Street VS. Runway

Searching through magazines for inspirational street style is exhausting and usually disappointing, I constantly find myself saying, “who would wear this?" and "I would never buy that!” It seems as though designers inspire by showing they are not only talented but also, innovative artists fueled by challenges. These expressions of art are not meant to be worn on the streets, but on the catwalk, hence “Runway Fashion”.

Realistically, we want ready to wear fashion: everyday, versatile pieces. I express my personal style through my blog. I love looking for new ways to manifest my creativity through my street style, while reaming casual all the way. If you share my passion, I’m sure you, like me, are always searching for innovation.
